One box for searching and filtering
Section titled “One box for searching and filtering”The separate filter panel has gone. Type in the Search or filter… box to search as before, or pick a suggested value to filter by it. The conditions are the same as before (=, ≠, <, ≤, ≥, >), along the top of the suggestions, with Any and None for whether a field has a value. See Searching, filtering and sorting.
Layers, stale and filtered out
Section titled “Layers, stale and filtered out”The map’s Layers menu has gone. To hide a type, click its tab while you’re on it. The stale and filtered-out switches are in the Settings tab. See Show or hide a type on the map and Settings tab.
Views are in the Settings tab, with a summary of what each would save. Views saved on the previous version need migrating once before you can use them. See Views.
Hover popups and groups
Section titled “Hover popups and groups”Resting the pointer on an item, or its row, opens a popup of its details after half a second. Groups of overlapping icons list who’s in them. See The map.
Following
Section titled “Following”There’s no follow button on the main map. Instead, each item’s detail panel has its own small map that follows it, and for an incident or call sign, keeps everyone attached in view. See The panel’s map.
No longer available
Section titled “No longer available”These features from the previous version aren’t on the Live screen:
- Tags, including the Tags tab and the Followed items tag
- Focus, which temporarily filtered the screen to an incident’s, call sign’s or tag’s resources
- The map Legend
- The map Labels button
- Following several items at once on the main map
- Pictures of people, vehicles and locations in the detail panel
- The incident’s address in its detail panel
- The layout for phones, with the list in a drawer at the bottom of the screen
- Finding live items, such as vehicles, from the place search on the map
