Lists

Each tab in the sidebar lists the items of one type. The lists update as things change, and a row’s coloured circle (its avatar) shows the item’s status. Hover over the avatar to see the status in words.

To the right of the search box, a count such as 24/1097 shows how many items are listed out of how many there are. While the screen is loading, grey placeholder rows and a thin bar under the search box show that data is on its way.

Changed
  • The registration, with the fleet number underneath. A tracker that isn’t linked to a vehicle record shows its IMEI and Unassigned tracker.
  • The avatar is coloured by the vehicle’s status: warning equipment on, malfunction light on, ignition on or ignition off.
  • A small badge on the avatar shows who’s driving. Hover over it to see their collar or staff number. If the card swiped isn’t linked to a person, the badge shows a driver ID icon instead, and hovering shows the card’s label.
  • A speed chip while the ignition is on. If the vehicle is going faster than the speed limit where it is, the chip turns red and shows the limit beside the speed.
  • Equipment icons, such as ignition, sirens, beacons, headlights flash, rear blue and red lights, amber lights, strike button, Airwave, trailer and public warning equipment. An icon is coloured when that equipment is on and grey when it’s off. Hover over an icon to see its name. Only the equipment the vehicle reports is shown.
  • The person’s name and staff number, with their collar number in a blue tag on the right. External people show their code and role.
  • The avatar is coloured by the status of their call sign. It’s red when their emergency button is on.
  • A small car badge shows they’re in a vehicle. Hover over it to see the registration.

These lists only include trackers and radios that aren’t assigned to a vehicle or person. Each row shows the device’s label, if it has one, and its IMEI or SSI.

The location’s name and subtype, an icon for its type, and chips counting the people and vehicles in it.

The scene’s name, its incident number (or No incident), and when it ends, such as “Ends in 2 hours”. A chip shows how many people are attending. The avatar is green when enough people are attending, amber when there are too few, and grey when the scene doesn’t ask for a number.

The call sign, its status and incident, with chips counting the people and vehicles on it. The avatar is coloured by the call sign’s status.

  • Alerts have an amber icon and show the vehicle’s registration and the time of the alert. An alert means the vehicle’s tracker has recorded something that may be a collision.
  • Events have a red-edged icon and show the registration, the time, and the peak force in G. An event arrives once the tracker has sent its recording. It takes the place of its alert in the list.

The incident’s reference and date, its grade in the avatar, and a chip with its type code. The avatar is coloured by the incident’s status.

The objective’s title and dates, with chips counting the people and vehicles in it.

When you sort a list by something its rows don’t already show, such as a vehicle’s role or its last poll time, each row shows that value in place of its second line. A dash means the item has no value for it. See Sorting.

Click a row to open the item’s detail panel. Hover over a row to highlight the item on the map and open its popup there. See Hover popups.

Changed

You can take a whole type off the map, for example to see people more clearly without vehicles on top of them.

  1. Click the type’s tab to show its list.
  2. Click the same tab again. Its icon turns grey and that type disappears from the map.
  3. Click it again to bring the type back.

Hiding a type only affects the map: its list still works as normal. Hidden types are saved with a view.

Changed

An item is stale when IR3 hasn’t heard from it for a while, so its position and status may be out of date. This applies to vehicles, external vehicles, trackers, people, external people and radios. How long counts as “a while” depends on your organisation’s set-up. For vehicles, it’s different depending on whether the ignition was on or off when they last reported.

Stale items are hidden from the lists, the map and the people and vehicle counts unless you turn on Show stale in the Settings tab. When they’re shown, they appear grey on the map and in the lists.

You can also filter on Stale (Yes or No) from the search box.
